Anyway my main concern was sorting Ernest out so glad i can go back for certificates on him. i now know he was born abt 1890 married 1912 died at 54 (another myth probably as i searched all images from 1930 to 1955 last night with no sign of a death). At least i have something to track back on now.

thats where i was looking all yesterday and kept getting no results! I've had this before though with a marriage and I really can't understand why. I don't expect everyone to do all the legwork but the times i've asked for help everyone seems to find it so easy. The Durham connection did put me off the track though and there still isn't one, And all the living family says there is!!!

RG11/4833. District Whitby folio 11 page 16. Why have I suddenly got a Thompson as the father? Any ideas. I would give up on this line if I wasn't called Sanderson!

Yes I have Ancestry thanks. I had even looked at Sanders but hadn't trawled Saunders for some reason. It's took me 8 weeks to get one generation back from Ernie.

As a guide all births post 1912 will appear in the index with the mothers maiden name, that would allow you to check and be more certain before you order any certs. Glen

I have posted on Tips but haven't had a result as yet. Will simplify it on here now i have more information. Ernest Sanderson m Annie Arnold 1912. Aged 22 at time of marriage. Father William (labourer) All correct as far as I know by marriage cert. Witness Maggie Sanderson Lived in Whitby. What i have from other sources.... Ernie had siblings Jinny, Jim Maggie, Arthur and probably more. And originated from Hunwick County Durham. (Not fact just from old family notes). Any help appreciated as I really don't know where to go from here Tracy. Ernest sorted thankyou. Can someone view an image to check I'm not going mad?
