Lesley - i just looked at your info again - the name Henry Thorpe rang a bell so, i checked through some of my info. Henry Thorpe was a witness at Thomas's sister Jane's wedding to William Sampson in 1897. Jane & William were my Gt Grandparent's. Thanks, Lesley. Gaynor x

Gaynor I think the one I gave is the most likely one for your Thomas I looked for all How* Names B;c1883 +/- 5 yrs born In croydon and this is the only Tom...Thomas...Thos So think this is your man as given above. Lesley :~)

Thanks everyone. The 1891 info is is definately my lot. They lived at 10 bourne street and, were still there in 1901 but, Thomas was not with them then. I hope he hadn't moved out of the area as i wouldn't have a clue how to find him? Perhaps he may have been working on a boat at the time?? These Howards of mine are becoming very difficult to follow! I'd say the Tom Howald that Lesley found is a good possibility. The image definitely looks like Howard - the enumerators writing is terrible. Tom is a She Maker. He is staying with a family called Thorpe, in Shoreditch. Kath. x
