Hi My boyfriends mother above died 9 years ago and he lost contact with all his family ,i am trying to find the parents of avril stevens,i know she was born in banbury but moved to birmingham ,can anyone help me please as for us to move on we need to complete the picture thankyou Louise

On your boyfriends birth cert it will list his parents names......... try tracing a marriage for the pair to obtain her age and her fathers name this will help you find a birth cert for her . You can search for these FREE and ONLINE on Ancestry website If this is her death: Avril Ivy Stevens Jun 1996 15 Apr 1955 Birmingham West Midlands You already have a good starting point for a birth as it gives her birthdate as 15 Apr 1955

There is a birth in Jun qtr in AMERSHAM for Avril I Stevens .... mothers maiden name is WATERS............ vol 6a page 411

Hi Thankyou,my problem is Avril was never married just had two sons and i do not know my boyfriends father name .All i know is her name she was origanally from Banbury and moved to Birmingham

You met her, presumably - do you think that death registration is about right - how old was she when she died? (the one above makes her early 40's, is that about right??) Does he know his fathers name?

I never met her weve only been together 2 years he was only 17 when she died and he was left on his own ,she was early fourtys when she died ,he never met his dad and has never met him,he has no documents no photos

did she have a second name?

im not 100% sure i think its june and i know she died in 1984/85

has he got here death cert tucked away anywhere? anyone got it that he could ask?

this will get worse as he has nothing and has got no one i just hope im not chasing a dead end,i will ask him her date of birth and the date she died

Hi I spoke to my boyfriend and her name was Avril Ivy Stevens she was born in 1955 and died in 1996 ,her family was originally from Banbury ,she moved to Birmingham and met a man her family did not approve of ,had two sons and never saw the father of her children and by then it was too late as she could not make up with her family as she died of cancer
