Im looking for information on Elizabeth Newby born in 1878(Newby is her maiden name) and she married and became Elizabeth Draper or Elizabeth Newby-Draper. She went on to have 2 possible 3 children who go by the names of Avis and Amy who were twins and they possibly had a brother called Henry and they were all born in the Grimsby area... Im trying to find out who Elizabeth married if possible.... Finally.... ive got a de-ja vu feeling about this but have been through my threads and can't find where I may have posted this before, so if I have then I apologise...... |

From the information given, it's POSSIBLE that Mum's maiden name was Newby (that's definate!)... BUT she MAY have been married before, so she wouldn't have been married under name Newby ...... Long shot ... Hi Rachel ! Elaine ;-) I think the twins birth certificate would give Mum's full names AND Dad's as well ...... you'll soon have as many certs as me Rachel !!!!! |

Info gathered so far : Correct me if I'm wrong Rachel! Working backwards from current day... We have: Florence & Avis LENNOX born to Avis (nee Draper) b 1913 ** Ivan W LENNOX Married in 1935 Grimsby (Ivan W Lennex had two daughters: Elizabeth & Violet from previous marriage) Avis Draper ** and twin Amy Draper born 1913 brother: Henry b 1911 MMN: Newby Father: *** Draper You believe that Mum is *Elizabeth* Newby b 1878 and she obviously married a *** Draper It's THIS marriage you are looking for .....?? Yes ?? How or where have you got the name *Elizabeth* from Rachel ? Found on OTHER thread: from Gran: Her mother's mother (my dad's gran) was called Elizabeth Draper and she was born in 1878, her maiden name was Newby I think, at least that is the info I have and she was born in Grimsby but I am unable to find anything about her at all or who she was married too.... can anyone help? |

Hi Elaine, Elizabeth is on a photograph that I have with Ivan Lennox and his brother Vic - on the back of the photo it says Elizabeth Draper (Newby maiden name) born 1878.... But somewhere along the line is a Florence whom my Nanna (Florence Margaret Lennox) was named after.... |

Hi Elaine, Ive managed to speak with my Nan's sister Violet who is a bit more complice mentos... Ivan's mother was called Florence Lennox (married name) and Elizabeth Draper (nee Newby) was the mother of Avis and Amy (Twins) and possibly Henry. Ivan Lennox married Avis Draper......which is how the family meets on the tree.... Ive ordered Ivan's Birth Certificate which is due to arrive on 23rd March so I can confirm that the links I have for Florence's family are correct (it is in another thread of mine on here).... Does that make sense? |
