I've tried to find her in 1871, but no luck. Suppose a trawl through marriage index is next step? |

Nothing surprises me with this lot!! .....but the wine certainly appeals more! Think I'll give up for tonight - have been searching for Rosanna with no luck (so far) Peter |

Thanks The squiggle is Gt Cambridge St. Just round the corner from the previous.... His first wife's mother is another enigma - Sarah and seems to have married Isaac Butterworth some time before 1792 - lots of children including Rosanna who married John Peters in 1819 In 1851 he has his m-i-l with him, her name appears to be Sarah Thacker although another cert indicates that it may have, at some time, been Staters (very hard to read). BMD here I come (it's either that or a wine festival on Saturday!!!). Also have to find George!! Peter |

Peter, Not sure I would want to buy that marriage certificate without finding the other names first. Have not found the girls so far on 1861. Off to bed so hope someone else has more luck on 1861. Maureen |

Peter, The 1851 census shows at household schedule 157 the following family, which has the same house number 3 as schedule 158, but the enumerator seems to have made a bit of a hash of the house numbers on this page as it starts with 104 - sorry but can not make out the name of the street Banks Reynolds abt 1799 Stanford, Norfolk, England Head Francis Reynolds abt 1839 Shoreditch, Middlesex, England Son Mary Reynolds abt 1803 Hailey, Oxfordshire, England Wife Mary Reynolds abt 1836 Shoreditch, Middlesex, England Daughter Strange but found a marriage and no other names are listed. Name: Peters, Caroline Record Type: Marriages Quarter: December Year: 1859 District: Bethnal Green County: Greater London London Middlesex Volume: 1c Page: 747 Maureen |

Have the birth of Rosanna PETERS(IGI) as 22 5 1824 but I need to know who she is with in later life - I know I found her once before and discarded her - and I can't find the notes. Does she show up in 1851 or later (no marriage that I can see on BMD)?? Finding this has enabled me to find John's first wife Rosanna Butterworth, and her parents Isaac and Sarah. I have Sarah as his m-i-l on a later census as Sarah Thacker so it all starts to tie in - but I have to find the daughter Rosanna (and Caroline....Matilda seems to have married Henry Osborne in Dec 1845) Another good day - that's two major road blocks down this year!! Some of the namestun up in the next generation Alfred - I'll think about - has his mother just died in the workhouse/hospital??? Lots more rellies to track.. Any sign of a Harriet Brown?? Thanks again Peter |
