CAN ANYONE HELP ME .I'VE BEEN ON TH GRO WEBSITE TO ORDER A MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE AND IT'S ASKES FOR THE EXACT DATE .I DON'T KNOW THE EXACT DATE .CAN SOMEONE HELP ME ON THIS. CRAIG

What year is this marriage for? Zoe

I did not think you needed the exact date. But on the first page you need to say that you have the GRO index and state the year. That should fix it. Jo

A colleague had the same problem yesterday. Just put yes to GRO index and the year and the exact date, though it may show for input, is not required. Jo

Hi Craig, Do you have the index numbers i.e. Volume no: and Page No:? Did you check the box YES where it asks if you have the GRO numbers?

i've got a 8b 1006 is this the volume and page no. respectively

It sounds like you've not ticked the box on the first page to say you have the GRO numbers Try again..........it shouldn't ask for the exact date.

The question you need to answer, 'is GRO no known' is on the very first page of questions. Make sure you 'check' this for YES. Then continue answering the questions, about Surname, First Name etc .... event, year..etc etc, Elaine ;-)
