Hi again, Just cos they say Married in 1881 census .... doesn't mean they are babe ! I've checked on FreeBMD from 1875 (she would have been 14ish) upto and including 1885 .... but I would check 1885 -1901 ... It has been known for parents NOT to have married at all ! The easiest way to find her name, would be to get one of the childrens birth certs .... this will give you soo much info ! thanks Elaine and Esta - I really need to find the marriage to confirm this is MY Edward Bentley. I think it is, also as they married by 1881, there must be more children, the youngest on the 1901 was born 1888 so I am sure there must have been others. I can't find them on the census .... and although there are several marriages between Edward Bentley - sarah ** ... they are scattered all over England ... none in either area you would expect (Pancras or Dorchester) ....sorry.

Looks like two of the children were born in Kentish Town around about 1891 .. so I'll check there....
