I need some help to put this lot together and I'm hoping some one can help me. What I know : 1861- Paddington ELizabeth Budd 1801 Reigate Head Louisa Starring ( Stanning) 1848 Kenninton Grand-daughter Alexander Thorne 1824 Chelsea Son-in-LAw Emma Thorne 1831 Pimlico Daughter In 1871 Louisa Stanning is married Frederick Faulkner in lambeth. Living with Elizabeth Hanning ( Stanning ) 1801 Lambeth. ( I know about the Faulkners from here on ) I THINK the Elizabeth from 1861 is the same Elizabeth in 1871. I also have an 1875 DC for Elizabeth Stanning ( 75 ) signed by E THORNE - Daughter. and from Louisas MC to Frederick I know her father is George Stanning. I'm having trouble connecting these bits of information together. So could do with a bit of help PLEASE. Would like to find the ones from 1861 in 1851 and 1871............. and if any spots a birth or marriage that would be good as well ( I've looked for a birth for Louisa in 1848/49 using 1837online but nothing yet ) ESta

Thank you all for your help - it's appreciated - I've been stuck with this 'puzzle' for a while so I'm hoping new eyes and ideas might crack it ! I'm not sure where BUDD has come from as I was thinking these 2 Elizabeths were the same person......... Nell the IGI info is brillient - might be able to get MC from that. Her father being John is a V good sign as I think Elizabeth B.1801 was indeed married to John Stanning ( But no real proof !) Really wish I could find them in 1851 / 71 though.

ooooo...........Just realised that : In 1861 Emma Thorne is Louisa Stannings Aunt ! I know Louisas Father was George Stanning who now has a sister called Emma...............Is that right ??

Unknown Report 3 Jan 2006 18:37

Are you sure Emma is Louisa's aunt and not her mother (Louisa being born illegitimately before the marriage to Mr Thorne?) Or have you got Louisa's father George from her marriage cert? Where is George? What a family!!! nell

What A family is right ..........I just can't seem to make it all fit !! Louisa married Frederick Faulkner in 1868 (Lambeth ) - I have the MC which says her father was George Stanning - Dec'd....... He's another one I wish I could find in 1851 !!..........This is why I was trying to find Louisa BC to get both parents names......ARGHHHHHH.

George F Stanning abt 1860 Kensington, Middlesex, England Son Kensington St Mary Abbott Middlesex George Fr Stanning abt 1819 London City, Middlesex, England Head Kensington St Mary Abbott Middlesex John F Stanning abt 1858 London St Pancras, Middlesex, England Son Kensington St Mary Abbott Middlesex Lucy A Stanning abt 1838 London St Pancras, Middlesex, England Wife Kensington St Mary Abbott Middlesex Mary E Stanning abt 1860 Kensington, Middlesex, England Daughter Kensington St Mary Abbott Middlesex All I want to do is make it fit a little then work out what certs I need to send for without wasting a fortune............

This confusion all started when I sent for Louisa MC as I believed her father was JOHN STANNING b. 1820 ish - Surrey.. When it arrived saying George was her father ( after screaming ) I can only assume George is Johns Brother ! ************************* As I said before I have George in 1861 married to Lucy. Lucy remarries in 1867 which would fit with Geroge being Dec'd in 1868 when Louisa Married. I have also found a possible first marriage for George in 1843 ( with only 1 female name transcribed ) . Which would fit with Louisas DOB as it being her father. But without Loiuisa BC for Mothers name how can I link them together.........ARGGGHHHHHH...
