Find Ancestors

I am trying to find the parents of John Holding 1851 and brother William they were with there grandparents Martha and John Lee in Geddington Northants [place of birth ] in 1881 ..also Eliza Holding she was born Geddington 1854 she was a servant in Halifax Yorkshire in 1881 with Thomas Hargreaves ..thanks for any help Lynn

Just a bit about Geddington. Charming village - well worth a visit - though it won't take more than an hour. It has one of the last remaining Eleanor Crosses - but the column is only 3 sided - which is quite unusual. It also has a ford in the middle of the village - heavy traffic can't use the bridge but has to go through the ford. (Great fun if you have kids in the car - aim for the bridge and then slip sideways through the ford at last minute - SPLASH. Jim

Yes Jess. Not in good condition. Asked at the Police station nearby and they did not know where it was.

Jim, they often cant find their own way back to the police station! Lynne - he really is playing hard to get on at census- have had another look,will try later in order to work back- have found a family of Garfield in Geddington- not that common a name, so maybe his wife , cant find a Sarah Vicars even inthe county. Where do you think he fitsin - cant be Georges son/jabez Bro can he?

Thanks for trying Jess .....I have John Holding of Geddington married to Sarah Eagle of Aldwinkle both born 1797 ...i have been collecting their children found most on the 1841 ....in Geddington tried to trace through to see if any were on the 1881 ...no luck except for the ones in my original thread ..then Pen found Thomas 1821 ....i already have Joseph 1827 [with parents 1841 ] so thought maybe link up [ Thomas cauld have left home as cauld George ??] i also have John 1825 William 1819 ...and Fanny 1829 ...had a hot match for her but the person had not replied to me ....bet you wish you had'nt asked LOL .....Lynn
