I'm trying to find out if MARY CLIFFORD, born 1878, Beeston, Nottingham, married twice. I have one Mary Clifford who married an EDWARD HAWLEY in 1900 in Nottingham, plus her census info on the 1881 and 1891 and it states her father and mother are William, b.1849, and Sarah, b.1851, also Nottingham. Yet in 1903 I have a Mary Clifford who married a FRANK EMSON in the same area, had parents called William Clifford and Sarah Gore Ardwick. William was born in the same year of the William that I have and Sarah was born only 2 years later than the Sarah that I have also. Do I have the wrong Mary or did she remarry? This is confusing because Mary and Edward Hawley had a son in 1903. Help me please! Kirsten |
