Hi Lib Many thanks - that is definitely my lot on the 1861 - Alice is my 3xg grandmother. Laura/Lorro is her sister. That death record is interesting. I wish it didn't cost £7 a time for certs as I can't afford to buy any for a while and it looks like it might be the only way to answer some of my questions. I've just looked on Freebmd and found a record of a birth of a Laura Nash dec quarter 1842 monmouth volume 26 page 74. This could be here. Interestingly though on the same page is Emma Nash - could be this a twin sister. And did she die and then Sarah name a later daughter Sarah? Oh, so many questions! :) joanne

Hi Lady Lib thanks so much for that info!! The only place I have found 'Lorro' before was on the 1851 census so her name could have been Laura - I've never heard of the name Lorro before!! Do you have the image that you could possibly send me? Also that other family is very very interesting as Lorro (Laura) and William's mother was Sarah JENKINS so it's very likely that you have found my William. All this info you have given me has certainly given me more avenues to go down - especially the likelyhood that Lorro is in fact Laura Many thanks again for everyone's help Joanne2

Jess I think they are all related somehow - just need to try and sort them all out! The William b. 1837 fits the description of Lorro's brother. She also had a brother Milson b. 1841 and we believe died 1843. With it being an unusual name I would assume this other Milson would be some sort of relative, cousin perhaps. Maybe Lorro had married by then. I can't find any record of a marriage or any other record for her other than 1851 census. Thanks for all your help :) Joanne

Hi I have Lorro Nash on the 1851 census and would like to find her on 1861 census. She was born abt 1841 West Dean Gloucestershire and was living in Gloucestershire with her family on 1851. I can't find her after this. I know Lorro is an unusual name. Could it be a mistranscription of anything else? Any help and advice would be gratefully appreciated. THanks Joanne
