Hi Claire, Sue and Gina, I think the family from Norfolk are a red herring but I will check them out on IGI tomorrow. The Greenwoods of Haworth (where my lot are from) are fairly well documented so if there is a marriage to a Bolton it will have been logged. Rachel Holdsworth nee Whitley was b. Elland, Leeds 1802 she may have been a widow by 1851. in 1861 she was living in Shipley with her daughter Sarah (b 1839). All for tonight I'll check back tomorrow xx Dave |

Hi Claire, in 1861 she was with the rest of the family in Midgley, Luddenden John Greenwood Head aged 37, Susan 35, Fanny 13, Harriet 11, Mary Ann 10, Rebecca 8, Joseph 4, Miranda 2 and Albert who died in infancy 5 months. They were back in Horton in 1871 Just a thought can you find grandparents Joseph and Rachel Holdsworth or Houldsworth in Horton in 1851? she could be with them. Thanks ever so much Dave |

Hi David, I went through all of Haworth earlier and checked for Fanny Greenwood and Fanny Bland and she was not there. Glad the ones found earlier are yours. Do you have Fanny in 1861? If so, who is she with? Just need a little guidance thats all as Horton nr Bradford is quite large. Regards, Claire |

Hi Girls, Thanks again for the info - the Joseph Houldsworth Relation clinches it - Susan's brother. Can I prevail on you to have another try for Fanny Greenwood or Fanny Bland b. 1847 +/- 2 in Horton, Bradford. She may be with another Haworth family but the name Fanny Greenwood Bland is not very common even at that time and is the name found on FreeBMD and the name she gave at her marriage. Hugs an' Kisses Dave |
