Hi I've managed to get them on family search - you need to type the 3 dots after the n. I think these are omission marks by the transcriber to indicate that there are 3 other letters but they couldn't read them! S:>

I've found him on the 1901 index as Edward Sheldrick 57, Lambeth, Plasterer and builder. Could somebody have a look on the image to see if he is married and what his wife was called please. May help find him in 1881 Thanks Diane

Hi Rose, Been out just seen your reply. Thanks for doing that. I have no other info on Edward. The only other thing I have is that Thomas's marriage cert described father as John, ships steward. I don't know if Edward would have used a different name too.

I have today received the death cert of who I am sure is a brickwall of mine of very longstanding.....Janet Sheldrick. I found her in 1861/71/81.......On the cert her son Edward John was the informant....I have found his birth in 1843 but can't locate him on the 1881 census....The death was in 1884....Can anyone help....This family are proving hard....I am 99% sure her son Thomas on the 1861 is my gt. x 2 grandfather.....I also cannot find his birth......Thanks for any help....Diane
