hello again so is your man as on free BMD james crowder march qtr 1838 Wirral 19 296 Brenda x Will be going to bebington again next week. the 1851 for that area is on Fiche so if my eyes can stand it I'll take another look for you. Rosemary do you need a cheshire 1851? |

Hi scuse me for butting in on this one. I have never heard of Balag in Cheshire or Haly come to think of it. Have these place names been checked on the original? I went to Bebington library today and I had noted your request the other day June Thought i would look on the 1851 for you but I'm afraid Balag has me stumped. brenda x |

Hi Jess, It is James Crowder 1875 Waterloo Lancashire Ellen Crowder 1875 Formby Lancashire that is the right way but just change the Waterloo and Formby around regards June Hi Rosemary, they didnt marry till 1897 |

More census mistakes - Camm family of Horton in Ribblesdale in 1881 appear as Cannu, and Mary Lofthouse, born Somerset appears on online 1901 as Mary Softhouse from Lomerset. JJ |

..........and my Shawcross's where found at the correct address ... under the name SCOTT. 4 of us had found the address and 4 of us had said my family are not there !! depends what you mean by mistake.The ennumerater wrote down what he was told- he didn't know any other! By the time the whole thing is transcribed there are bound to be errors- in your case it was miniscule (by comparisome to some i've seen!) jess |

Hi Has anybody else had this mistake on the 1901 census my great uncle James Crowder 1875 born Waterloo Lancashire his wife Ellen Crowder 1875 born Formby but on census he is born Formby and she is born Waterloo but on other census it is right.So no wonder i cant find him June |
