I need to find who was living at 3 Boot Street in 1899 I am specifically looking for a Charles Miller or Muller born about 1878 as I now have 3 birth certs and I dont think any are right but on his marriage cert year 1899 it says he is living at 3 Boot Street which I think was in Shoreditch if I can narrow it down to that address I may find his Mothers name as it says his father Adam Muller Musician is deceased on the marriage cert , can anyone point me in the right direction thanks

From an entry on 1891 census ...Charles is 12 with Father Adam (Musician - b Germany) and Mother is Emily.... says Charles was born St Lukes, London. Address is: 40, Nelson St, Mile End Old Town ... Could this be the correct family ? Dancer x

hi Derbyshire I thought so but not sure now as there are actually 2 charles mullers born about the same year and both have an Adam muller for their father one is a musician and the other a seal skin dryer do you think its probably that one I cannot find him anywhere at 3 boot street which would help a lot

I've just added more info ... the one above is a Musician .... so looks like your looking for Emily as his Mum. Emily is born Regents Park St Lukes (Charles) comes under Holborn. Is THIS a cert that you have ? Births Sep 1878 Muller Charles Holborn 1b 823 Dancer x

OK, Adam may have started off as a Seal Skin Dyer ... and then become a Musician ...? or are you saying there are TWO Adam Mullers on the census's ... one a nusician and another a Seal Skin Dyer ?

Unknown

Unknown Report 29 May 2005 12:01

Hum... Maybe by searching 1901 for Adam Muller ... any surviving Adam's can be ruled OUT as being Charles father ? ... matching these with previous census's can elliminate those who are NOT his Dad ?? ... I know what I'm trying to say !!! (sorry ). Have just been on 1881 ... I'm NOT going back there !!! Dancer x

Sorry, I'm running away with myself ... didn't check the other children ...since you say there are two Adams Mullers with children Charles born same year. Since Adam was supposedly a Musician last (before he died) ... I think that family is correct .... and the year of birth has been consistant going backwards for Adam as well ... Let me put all this into some sort of order on paper ! Dancer x
