Ludlow is in Salop which is another name for Shropshire, Hants being Hampshire etc.. Debbie

Hi Laura I can find from google, that there is a Hopton in Salop and a Hampton Wafer in Herefordshire which borders Shropshire, I believe.. There is a Hereford in Shropshire though. Debbie

We stayed at a beautiful inn in Hopton Wafers last year. It's fairly near Ludlow Josie

if a person put hopton wafer on their census are they likely to have put clee hills on a different one? are they that close?

Yes, Cleobury would be the registration district for Hopton Wafers - I have ancesters from there.
