Hi Yvette It looks like you're going to be really busy on Saturday! Thank you very much for offering. If you have time (please don't worry if you don't), I would love a look-up for: Gaywood Parish Registers: the marriage of Richard Burley and Rebecca Lynn 12th December 1824 any details you can find plus baptisms of the above e.g. * Richard (Edmund?) Burley, born approx. 1804 (Gaywood or King's Lynn) * Rebecca Lynn, born approx. 1805 (Gaywood or Lynn) Anything you could find would be most welcome! Many thanks in advance Regards Helen |

Hi Yvette, I know you already have quite a few requests, so if you can't do this I understand. I am looking for the birth or address details of Richard Hows. He was born c.1825 in Norfolk. His father's name was John. I have no idea where he was from, but I know he moved to Boston, Lincolnshire where he married in 1858. One kind GR member did suggest to me that he may have come from Great Cressingham as that is where there where many Hows' are listed. Thanks, Estelle |

Yvette If only I'd seen your message sooner! I think you will be really busy with everyone else's requests, BUT I want to know who my illegitimate great-grandmother Ruth BARNES father was. Ruth was born in Langham, Norfolk, in 1846 and her mother was Susan (sometimes Susannah) Barnes. There's nothing in the parish registers, but if you could just find out if the NRO keeps bastardy bonds for the area/time I would be chuffed. have a brilliant visit! nell |

Hello Yvette, What a kind offer. We have so many unanswered questions in Norfolk, but I wonder if you might be able to find time to help with 2 of them. Hoping to find the baptisms of John Denny (b 1755-56 in Fersfield or Bressingham) and his future second wife Dinah Fuller (b 1775 Roydon or Bressingham). We know that Dinah was illegitimate daughter of Mary Fuller, but wonder if the father may be named on the baptism entry. Re John, we are stuck, but hope with your help maybe to dislodge that brick wall. Whether able to help or not, I hope you all have a lovely day. Very many thanks, Gordon |

It's a big ask but I am trying to trace the deceased father of my cousin-in-law. Sergeant Arthur Henry Estcourte died 15/3/1944 aged 29. 1176109 90 Sqdn Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. I have trawled through 1837online from 1912 to 1917 but can't seem to find him. His sister Evelyn's surname was Holland so I'm not sure if their mother was married twice, had one illegitimate and/or which one! Thanks in anticipation. Kristeen |

Hi Yvette, thank you for your kind offer. I have a long-time Norfolk 'brickwall'. I have an ancester: William JARVIS b in LAKENHAM 1793 according to census entries. I have not been able to find any trace of any Lakenham Jarvises, I know he had left for Yorkshire by the 1830's. Any info of a Jarvis in Lakenham before 1830 would be wonderful. Hope you enjoy your day, Marian |

Hi Yes please if you can help me out I would be very grateful. I have a family ancestor Kate Woods (husband Joseph Woods) who died at Upper Cliff Road, Gorleston in September 1903. In her coroners report she died of alcohol poisoning. The blame was laid on the loss of her two sons who were aboard a training ship and were drowned six years previously. I would like to find the deaths of those two boys and their names. In the 1881/1891 census her sons were Ernest, Valentine, Robert, William, Lawrence, Oscar and Joseph. I would also like to find the death of Kates mother, Caroline Taylor, who was living with them in the 1881 census but I couldn't find her in the 1891 census with them. She was aged 66 yrs in 1881 and was born at Arundel, Sussex. Husband who predeceased her was James William Taylor. I know it is probably a big ask but I would very much appreciate any help. Thank you. Irene in NZ |

Hi Yvette, As I'll only be there in a virtual sense, I really appreciate your offer. I'm intending to e-mail a couple of requests to Frances, who is organising the meet, but suspect that she may be quite busy with her own look-ups. So...if you have time, could you please ask her what you could look up for me? I expect she'll take a printout of my e-mail with her. One quick follow-up could be the parish records for a John GANT(possibly butcher b. Swningham??) father of Lydia Gant (married John BARTLE) in Nth Elmham. Some record starters found on the web are: Register Year Groom Bride AT/BT Notes Mitford & Launditch District Elmham North 1816 BARTLE, John GANT, Lydia 30 Mitford & Launditch District Elmham North 1815 GANT, James BAILEY, Susanna 22 Source Marriages (Bishop's Transcripts) Baptisms (Bishop's Transcripts) Place Register Year Surname, Forename Parents AT/BT Notes Mitford & Launditch District Elmham North 1829 BARTLE, Robert John & Lydia BT ANYTHING you might come up with pre 1815 would be really appreciated. These are the ancestors of my friend, Carole, at work, who has her 60th tomorrow and I thought that some new family info might be an extra nice pressie! Have loads of fun, won't you! Sue (in NZ) |
