Hi, I am looking for any information on a joseph rawcliffe, born 1828 or 1831 depending on census's. He was born in morton or marton again census's vary. He should be with wife jane and at least one daughter elizabeth in 1861. But not sure in 51. Many thanks for your time and help. |

On the 1861 Master Area Index there are the following: Little Marton Disc 23 Flyde RG9 3147 Great Marton Disc 23 Flyde RG9 3148 Blackpool is in Flyde 3148 quite near to Great Marton So I think we are searching for Great Marton, Flyde 3148. Hope this helps ! Elaine :-) |

Dont know if it will help at all but the children including elizabeth were born in barrow in furness. I have them on the 1871. So possibly he could may well be living in barrow in furness in 1861. Sorry to be such a pain. |

Hi Elaine Done it...both Great and Little. They're tiny districts and these are the only 2 Rawcliffe families there Joseph 30 Isabella 32 Rebecca 12 Elizabeth 11 Catherine 7 George 3 Margaret 1 John 46 Jane 46 George 12 Ellen 9 Thomas 7 Richard 5 Checked parts of Lytham either side as well in case they'd strayed but no sign Lou |
