WAS HOPING THERE WAS A VERY KIND PERSON OUT THERE WHO HAS THE 1851/1861 CENSUS RETURNS FOR LIVERPOOL,I AM LOOKING FOR JAMES WAINWRIGHT BORN 1850 ON 1881 CENSUS STATES PLACE OF BIRTH AINTREE ON MARRAIGE CERTIFICATE FATHER'S NAME IS NATHAN WAINWRIGHT. WOULD LOVE TO KNOW MOTHER'S NAME ANY SIBLINGS,AND WHERE THEY LIVED..I KNOW THIS IS A BIG ASK AS I HAVE NOT MUCH INFO BUT I WOULD BE SO SO GRATEFUL.....I CANNOT FIND HIM ON THE 1871 CENSUS EITHER BUT HE MARRIED IN LIVERPOOL IN 1873..HOPING UPON HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP...SANDRA

Sandra I have the 1861 census on disc but it's not indexed so without an address, it would mean looking through over 1000 pages of census returns for Liverpool. Do you have any addresses at all from the 1871 or is he missing completely? Lou

Sandra Just had a look at the Liverpool disc and it seems to be listed in districts rather than Streets. Any idea what district they would have been living in? Lou

Hi Sandra, I dont have census but on 1851 index there is a Nathan Wainwright (occ.Wood Turner) Great George & Pitt Street Ward,piece 2181/2,folio 0427a ,someone should find him from this regards, John

Hi Sandra Also on the area of St George and Pitt street for the Liverpool census of 1851 is an Elizabeth Wainwright no ages given sorry or occupation then in the same household there is a daughter Elizabeth (junior) Wainwright and a son James again no ages are given. Wendy

Hi Sandra I've had a look on the 1851 census.This is the family living at the ref numbers that John gave you. Address Gardners Court Nathan Wainwright, Head age 42, Wood Turner Ann Wainwright, Wife age 43 Ann Wainwright, Dau age 16 Jane Fletcher, Dau age 17. All born in Liverpool except Ann (wife) she was born Sheffield Chris

Hi Chris, there are 2 James Wainwright age not given,one is Great George /Pitt St. 2181/4 ,folio 0876,the other is Lime Street/St.Annes 2184/2 folio 0456a, there is also a 2y0 James Wainwright in West Derby piece 2192/6 folio 1200a regards, John
