Hi Anne Could this be the one? ROBERT PROWSE - Gender: Male Christening: 18 MAY 1755 Bickleigh Near Exeter, Devon, England Itr is the only one in Devon that fits. Father is Robert Prowse and mother is Joan. I found this on the IGI which you can search for free at www.1837online.org Sam

I am tryign to find a birth entry for Robert Prouse (or Prowse): born c 1754. He married Mary Seller in 1779 in Gittisham devon aged 25, so should be born in 1754. Mother was Joan. Am very keen to find his origin and father's name> I have looked in Gittisham records and he is not there.
