Does anyone know if the above district of Sheffield is actually on 1871 and 1891 census at all? Ive just subscribed to ancestry and the people i want that should be on these 2 censuses are not. Cheers, Claire

Hi, I have the 1871 Census for Yorkshire on disk and it covers this area but only with a street index. If you can give me the details and an approximately place of residence I will have a look for you tomorrow. Tracy

Hi, As far as I am aware all of Yorkshire isn't on Ancestry yet for 1871. But I thought 1891 was?! I am sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Best Wishes Julie

Hi I have some relatives from Ecclesall Bierlow and in 1891 I have found them to be listed as being in Derbyshire, not Yorkshire where it is now. I think the parish boundary has changed over the years as it is definately now classed as Yorkshire. Hope this helps Sam

Hi to all, Certainly helps to know that they might be under Derbyshire so can have a look there. Im looking for Sarah E A Booth on the 1871, she was born roughly 1867 in Sheffield but i dont know where im afraid. She married William H Eastwood in 1889 so should be on 1891 as Sarah E A Eastwood but cant find that either. Ive seen her on 1901 as Sarah E A Eastwood with age showing as 33. Ive also found her as Booth on 1881. Any help on this lady is very much appreicated. Claire

Hi Rosemary, No thats not her. William is 2 years younger than Sarah. She was more commonly known as Amanda though. Claire
