Hi Pauline, Thank you so much for taking the time & trouble to look for me. Yes, I have tried Freebmd, and spent a fortune on 1837, have resigned myself to the fact that they may not have actually got married (oh the shame! Samuel was my gr-gr-grandfather) I leave this little puzzle alone for a few months, then have another go. Thanks again for your time, Debbie

Hi Pauline, Just seen your message (been working!) Would love to take you up on your very generous offer, if it's not too late. Am desperately trying to find a marriage for a Samuel NOON and a Hannah/Ann DAFT. Marriage probably took place around 1877ish, which is when their first child Mary Ann was born. Not sure of location, from various census' Samuel claims to be born Arnold, Notts c1850 (tho' I doubt that he actually was), Hannah/Ann born Lambley and the first child was born in Hucknall Tokard. Have not been able to find Samuel on any census prior to 1881, not to find a marriage or baptism for him! So still have no parents. Thank you Debbie
