Find Ancestors

I dont know who he married all I know is it was his cousin.
The marriage would have been sometime between 1946 and 1952 and they had a daughter Lily SMith or Lilian SMith sometime during that duration as well.
It would be in Kent possibly Gravesend or Dartford registration districts or even Medway
Have done loads of scrolling myself. I found one that had married a Johnson which is Leonards mothers name (if I have the right one) and tried to work out if that was his cousin but failed miserably..lol
I have asked my aunt and uncle about it but they chose to remain silent so i have no real way of knowing.

thank you for all your effort Sheena but I really dont think that is the one. Mine was from Swanscombe Kent.

It appears that Kirsty is the one to habe brought this thread back to the top. But as I say it was from March 2004 when I had just started out and hadnt much knowledge of searching.
I still can not be sure which one Leonard Smith is as I cant find his marriage or his childs birth. The norm is to name children after the family but that hasnt given any clues so far either.

Now I'll look the correct marriage, seeing how the other was incorrect. Sorry about that, was just rough guessing the marriage to the be under Canterbury/Deal area.

But you have her mmn now, so it should be easier more so now you have her parents there too.

gosh how did this suddenly spring up from March 2004.
..
So far I have taken the one born Swanscombe whose parents were George William Smith and Mary Ann Johnson.
However I still can not be sure of which one he is until I find his marriage or even his death certificate. He did marry his cousin after my grand mother died and they had a duaghter.

Unless you have some way of identifying his parents, I'm afraid it's all guesswork.

But, if you have the decoder, you can identify the family group yourself..........
