Find Ancestors

I've just started tracing my g/g/grandmother Maria Sharp/e nee Gillespie. She was born in ? Ireland c1844 but lived most of here life in Everton, Lancs.

At a glance, I can't see her on the 1851 census so maybe she came to England after this date. I'm also unable to find her on 1871 census but have her on all others.

Maybe I need glasses because I can't see a marriage for her either. She married William Sharp/e around 1860. I'm starting to wonder if they married in Ireland.

I'd also be interested in tracing her brothers who appear on the 1861 census.

Now all I need to find is William. I've noticed that there's a John Gillespie aged 13 (nephew) living with Maria in 1881. I'll have a look for him too.

I'm not having much luck finding any of this Irish family on IGI.

There's something weird going on here. I can't figure out who the John Gillespie living with Maria in 1881 belongs to. I thought maybe Thomas and coincidently there is a Thomas with son John in Pescot but I don't think it's the same Thomas. No sign of William Gillespie either.
