Hello,
Just wondering if anyone out there has access to the Find My Past military records, particulary military births.

I am trying to find the births of Albert F King c1883 and Frederick John King 1878/9

Father was Patrick Joseph King (1834) serving in the Royal Artillery mother was Hannah (nee Pilcher previous married name Fisher).

If someone could do a range from 1870 to 1891 I would be so grateful. I think I have already found Mary Amanda (1870) and Ernest Joseph (1868) but would like confirmtion if the records show the parents.

I still don't know where they were in 1881 - see previous thread)

Thanks ever so much.

Juliet

Do you have them in the 1891

Have you located these people on any census?

What is/are their stated birthplace/s?

When did their parents marry?

Can't refer to previous thread.....you haven't said what the title was.

Yes thanks, 1891 they were living on Brunswick Road, Gravesend, Kent.

1871 they were living in the Purfleet Garrison and Control Barracks Essex.

The whole lot are missing in 1881 whish is why I am trying via military births for Fre and Albert.

Juliet.

Hi Reggie,

Sorry on all the available census' I have found them - see Julie's reply. The births I can't find census states Gravesend but think this is error. Previous thred was Missing family 1881.

Thanks

Why do you think it's an error.........the parents would know where their children were born

Phone rang - sorry.

William Thomas I have - he is my g'father.

I was hoping for Albert's so that it may give me an indication of where the family was in 1881.

Thanks

Thanks Julie.

Was this off the normal BMD's? Reason I ask is that in the 1901 Census, Albert is also in the Royal Artillery with a middle name listed as Frat! Do you know if that is short for Francis?

Cheers

Hi Reggie,

I suppose it's because I can't find any of the family in 1881 and I know from other census details that places of birth can be wrong or mixed up.

Sorry for the delay in answering - this thing is speedy.

Thanks

I wouldn't of thought so , but i'll tell you something funny, my OH's surname is Francis and my surname starts with Frat.

I think the only thing to do would be the get the B/C and see

Having looked at the image for 1901 Albert's name is given as Albert Fras. not Frat. He has put the full stop denoting the abbreviation about half way up the 's' and it has been misread.

Didn't see that at all Andy, thank you. I'll go ahead and order the Albert Francis. This puts a whole new light on things.

Thanks again
