Hi Wendy,

I am unsure as i do not know the birth years of my grandfathers siblings.

As for his children, I am still Unsure. I think it may have been either Pauline or Steven!!!

Do you think you may have some information?

I have noticed that in the Glover's, It seems to be quite hard to find information!!!

Samspade

Samspade Report 12 Sep 2007 18:33

who was the eldest child in your granddad's family?

Philip

Philip Report 12 Sep 2007 18:21

I'm looking for additional information on my Ancestors. My Grandfather Arthur Glover. b. 21 Mar 1923 d. 28 Jul 1997 (Longton, Staffordshire - buried in Fenton, Staffordshire). He came from May Bank in Staffordshire. Wife named Dorris Elsie Halfpenny b. 1 Mar 1926 (still living). They had 5 children, Kelvin (My father), Steven, Graham, Pauline and Sheralyn.

I am told he had a brother named John who died abt. Jul 1949, I believe a car accident in Wolstanton, Staffordshire. Having i believe 2 sons and a daughter, I only know of a Barry (son).

Arthur also had a sister named Elsie. There may have been more siblings that i am unaware of. His father is belived to be called John - possibly from Cork (Ireland).

I have heard my Father talking at times, and has mentioned the possibility of him being adopted, but he his unsure about the truth of this.

My Aunt Pauline has mentioned a male person of the family owning an Antiques shop somewhere around the Blythe Bridge / Cheadle area who may have this information.

Any information you could provide on the Glover's would be greatly appreciated.

I await any response anyone can provide.

Thank You
