Hi

Really need help with my GGG Grandfather.

His name was George Crampton and he married Emma Coleman and lived in St Pancras in London. However on two census he states he comes from Peterborough and in one census he states that he comes from Fairford, Northants.

His marriage certificate states his father is Thomas Crampton however I have found nothing to substantiate this claim making me think that he was possibly illegitimate but I cannot find a birth for this guy.

Maybe someone who has been researching longer than I have can lead me in another direction i never thought of.
