I have acquired a thorough packet of documentation on the above family who left Scotland and immigrated to Port of Richibucto in New Brunswick, Canada in 1819.

I'm interested in the Little family from Scotland but I seem to have missed where they came from?Is Du a place in Scotland and I'm being very stupid?

I think it should be Dumfries or perhaps Dumfriesshire.
The name Little is prevalent in the Roxburgh and Dumfries areas.

hi my nameis sandra, i have been trying very hard to find the family of my gran, agnes little, born1914 daughter of peter and agnes, they lived in dumfriesshire, i think my gran had a relation who emigrated to canada, but details are very scarce. can you give me some clues as to names etc. of the littles you have info on. thanks

So sorry I didn't reply. I have a Peter Little in my tree b. 1879 in Kilmarnock Ayrshire but I don't have a marriage for him. His parenzts were Peter Little and Annie Ferguson.

thanks for your reply, i really dont know alot bout the little family, my peter was living in dunscore in dumfries with his mother n father but i think his mum was ann mckean or kean (think), peter married an Agnes kerr,
