As the last message was 9th August 2008, do I take it that Steve is no longer available to do Stickland BMD look-ups? Does any one know?

Hi Steve,
Ivy born 1918 and William born 1916 i believe are my cousin born in the district of Mile End Rd town. I also believe that William must have died between 1916 & 1919. as my mother lived with her sister when she came out of the children home in Sept. 1918( Both my mothers parent died by 1909)and she never mention a William only Ivy Lenny & Lilly. Do you have any info on William death, it would be in the same area

many thanks beryl

Hi Beryl

I agree with Bascat - William married 1st quarter of 1916

There are 4 children whose mother's maiden name was Baldock, and had births registered:-

Ivy V - 2nd quarter of 1918 in Mile End Town
Leslie F - 4th Q 1922 in Portsmouth
Ronald E - 2nd Q 1928 in Pembroke
William G - 3rd Q 1916 in Mile End
Town

There is a marraige of Ivy V Stickland 1st Q of 1941 in Lambeth to a "Shott;"
A marriage of a Leslie F in 4th Q of 1944 in Portsmouth to a "Hutchison;"
A death of a Leslie Francis in 2nd Q 2004 in Southend on Sea (DOB 26-11-1922);

If the marriage of Leslie fits with what you have, and you need their children's info., let me know

Hope this helps

Steve

I have a list of BMD's of Stickland's who were Born/Married/Died in England/Wales. It is an extention of the "Stickland Database" that Mike Stickland made available on-line - but includes BMD's up to 2003

If anyone wants any look-ups, let me know

Steve
