Yoo Hoo....................ladies.

The marriage cert arrived today. Details:

March 20th 1853. Paul Wright 21, carpenter/joiner and his father, William wright, farmer. Not deceased.

Sarah Slaney 20, father JOSEPH Slaney, labourer. Not deceased.



Yippee, you two were sooooo right. Jemima was the imposter after all!.................stupid girl, running us around in circles...................lol

I love a happy ending! Thanks for letting us know. I'm always happy when genealogy by logic gets confirmed by the facts. ;)

Now somebody needs to go to Ancestry and put in Jemima as an alternative name for that "Sarah", and Sarah as an alternative name for Jemima, and point to her in the other censuses. For the benefit of future generations!
