Find Ancestors

Hi, im trying to find out details about Earnest A Sheath. I am trying to find out his wifes maiden name & his parents names. i know his wifes first name was Augustus & born in approx 1870 but thats where i hit a brick wall. Any help would be appreciated greatly. Thanks

Look at the free BMD website - Ernest Albert Sheath married Augusta Elizabeth Purfield in the Portsea area in December quarter 1890.

You'll probably now find Augusta on the 1881 census living with her mother and siblings - no sign of the father though. Her mother's name is Rose (born circa 1847 Whitechapel) but I fiddled with free BMD again and Augusta's fathers name was Kennick or Kenrick Purfield - he married Rose Ann Mansell in 1863 (also in Portsea area). There is also a marriage record of a Kenrick Purfield in Lewisham in 1857 - probably the same fella I would think
