rub a dub Tubb, We all live in a Tubb of margarine!, tele-Tubbie!! to name but a few of the names that I was teased with at school! Boy, I could not wait to get married!! Anyway, my family is quite large and are mainly from the Poole Dorset area and Southampton. My father (the one and only Ernest Roy Tubb) insists that he grew up in a place called Mattersey Thorpe, we cant find it on a map so if there any of you that can help with this we would be sooo greatfull. His parents were called Frank and Lillian Tubb (maiden name Spender.) I would love to here from anyone who may have known them. My Mother's name is Averil Florence May Tubb which is a bit of a coincidence if you look below |
