Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 1 Send Message	The earliest recorded member in the Turnham family in England is Robert de Turnham of Thurnham manor (then called turnham) in kent circa 1160 His sons were well chronicled at the court of King Richard 1 the family motto is ' in alte tende' which translated means strive for the heights.
