I have had some luck from very helpful people on this site with specific requests for help and also by checking through other sections of this site including receiving 'Hot Matches'.

Now, like I see others have done in the past, I am listing the main Surnames in my Tree and the Address Areas in which I am keen to pick up more information in the hope that there may be more people out there with possible connections.

FARROW - Lawshall, Suffolk.
BOYDEN - Lawshall; Stanningfield - both Suffolk.
RAWLINSON - Poslingford; Shimpling ("The Bush") - both Suffolk.

STIFF - Somerton; Hawkedon; Great Bradley; Hartest; Risby ("Crown & Castle") - all Suffolk. Plus Westminster, London.
BUTCHER - Hunston/Honston; Sapiston - both Suffolk. Plus JOHN HERBERT BUTCHER b1880 who emigrated to Markham, Ontario in the 1930's.
PALLANT - Walsham le Willows, Suffolk.
TROTMAN - Hunston; Sapiston; Honington - all Suffolk.

BAILEY - Chevington; Chedburgh; Horringer; Risby; Gt Saxham; Lt Saxham - all Suffolk. Plus Edmonton,Middlesex.
SCALES - Barrow. Suffolk. Plus Harrow Weald.
RAWLINS - Barrow, Suffolk.
DEBENHAM - Horringer; Glemsford; Whepstead; Chevington; Hartest; Alpheton; Thorpe Morieux; Lt Whelnetham; Bradfield St George - all Suffolk.
MAYES - Horringer/Horningsheath.
MARTIN - Nowton.

Here's hoping someone out there has a connection somewhere within these names and villages.

Hi Victoria - thank you for your message.

I don't have an Elizabeth Farrow in Tree. My entries are:

James (b1822) m. in 1854 a Susannah (Surname u/k)
They had 6 children:
Robert b1855
James b1859
Emma b1862
Ann 1864-1886 m.George Moss in 1885. Daughter: Beatrice 1886
Joseph b1868
Alfred b1869

James (b1859) m. Lucy Boyden (b1862) in 1866
They had 2 children:
Mark 1895-c1916)
Robert 1898-1981

James married Lucy Boyden after they both had been widowed. Lucy had previously been married to Harry Nunn (1858-1893).

James' and his first wife, Kate (Surname u/k), appear to have had 5 children:
Thomas b1880
Minnie b1881
Nellie b1884
Lilly Maud bc1894
Meshack 1895-1895.

There doesn't seem to be a connection between our two Trees - what do you think?

My husand's link is through James b1822 - James b1859 - Robert b1898. Robert was my husband's Father.

Just in case you have not already picked up other Farrow (Lawshall) messages, there are some under 'Surnames' from Jill Martin and Teresa Farrow, albeit in January 2004 and October 2005. There might be something there of interest for you.

Do let me know if you think there is a connection between us, and in the meantime I will keep you in mind as I continue my searches.

Best wishes
Trisha

Hi, My father, who was the Baker at Laxfield in Suffolk, employed a Teddy Rawlins who was, I believe, a Baker in the Army during WWI. I think that he retired at about the same time as we sold the business, which would be in the early 70's. I left the willage in 57 so cannot say what happened after then.
I remember that he was married and had one daughter, Joan, who was probably born during the 20's. Any Help? Regards, Leonard.

Leonard

Thanks for your message. The Rawlins I have in my Tree are those in Barrow, Suffolk. Unfortunately, there is no connection to Laxfield.

Thanks for trying to help.
