Trying to find relations of James Wells born about 1795 in Bagnor near Newbury, Berks. He was a papermaker by trade. His son Thomas Wells moved to Alton in Hampshire and had the first photographer's shop in the town. Later became the licened vitualler of the Winchester Arms (Now no longer there), in Normandy Street. Thomas had several children, one, William Henry, my grandfather, he joined the Hampshire Regiment in 1894 age 20 before transfering to the Connault Rangers in 1913. I want to find any decendants of the above please.I live near Portsmouth. |
