My grandmother was a Westwood and I wondered if there are any Birmingham Westwoods out there who would like to put their heads together with me and come up with a big family tree [or a number of smaller ones if we can't make all the connections] for Westwoods in Birmingham. My grandmother was Emily Westwood [b 29 April 1898] above her father's baker's shop at 389, New John Street West. Her father was Robert Westwood [Master Baker] b. 14 May 1864 Lower Russell Street, Birmingham. He had older brothers Samuel, Charles and William and a younger brother, Roland. Their father was Charles Westwood [jeweller and later grocer] b. 1831, Birmingham. His father was Robert Westwood, japanner. That's all I have so far. If I can help anyone with 1881 [UK] or 1851 [Warwickshire, Devon, Norfolk] census lookups, please let me know. |
