Let me start by thanking Gill and Lisa for all their help and patiance.
i am tryin to find out about my fathers relatives, his name was derek roy white, allthough he may of also used the surname Tomms? he lived some of hislife in the Medway Towns.
he died may 1999 at chatham, i have accses to his death records.
that gave me his birthdate 08 02 1951, i have a copy of the irth records for that day and there were 3 derek whites registerd, one has the wrong middle initial T, one was from liverpool, that ruled them both out, leaving a Derek R White, registerd essex, mothers name givern only as surname, Crangle.
but ive had contact from people claiming that the derek r white on rmy records is still alive and married, and not my dad?
i dont know if this is worth posting, ive messeged 144 people about this, and no one claims to be my fathers relatives. Surely someone knows somthing to help me out?

theres bound to be more Derek Whites around.I would not worry about what people say.If you have his Death record then you know it's true.Have you found his parents Sometimes you have to go Backwards to find out more,I can't help with these early records, sorry,
People might not know of his past.

this is a case of getting certificates your fathers birth certificate will show his parents then his parents marraige certi will show their fathers etc and from that you should be able to find what you want.
who informed the registrar of your father death was it a relative? maybe you can learn something from that

i have today been to the registry office that dealt with death, and i have orderd a copy of his death certificate{i cannot have it until Friday} this might give me something new to go on. I was not aware at the time of his death that he had died, i know of no family of his in our county, so i am puzzled as to who registerd his death.

Unless you know with absolute certainty that he wasn't born in Liverpool, then I wouldn't rule that one out.
