Looking for my Mum in laws birth mother Gertrude Florence White b c1897. Gertrude was living in Fulham when Mum was born in 1919 she was a single mother and could not afford to keep her child but she gave her the middle name of Ithurial which is an angel from Miltons Paradise Lost. We have searched for Gertrude for many years with no luck. Mum was given to a couple called Brown there was no offical adoption in 1919 but the Browns who came from Wandsworth and Putney did go through an adoption in 1935 when Mum was 15. Wendy Edwards |
