I am trying to find my grandfather Edward White He was born in 1868 .In the 1901 census he was living in Bethnal Green London working as a pub manager and he had put his place of birth as Charing Cross London although it is thought his family came from Scotland.He was reputedly christened in St.Martins in the Fields London.He and my grandmother Alice Maud Wood [Im not sure if or when they were married] had 4 children Edward Cissie Eva and Hilda [Narnie].They managed or owned several pubs in the Eastend of London.They retired and moved to Thundersley in Essex where he died in 1936.At one time he was a boxer and in 1889 became middleweight amatuer champion of England.Any help would be appreciated . |
