Find Ancestors

I am researching family history which has lead to the White families of County Durham and Yorkshire. I have a Thomas William White who married Ann Richards in 1919. Marriage cert says father William White. Ann and Thomas William were both at 28 Cairns Street Spennymoor. TWW was 21. 1901 census has TWW (age 2) and sister Barbara (age 4) with mother Mary(age 25 b. Chilton Durham) and father William (age 32 b. Richmond Yorkshire) at 1 Carnes Street Spennymoor. Birth cert for TWW b. June 1898 Spennymoor has mother 'Mary White formerly White' and father William White. I cannot get a convincing trace back on TWW's father William. Can anyone help here? I believe I have TWW's mother Mary's family on the 1881 census. She is living with her father Thomas and his wife Mary and 4 other children. I think the mother of the 2 younger children is Mary, the current wife but that the mother of the 3 elder children is Thomas's previous wife Mary Swales (nee Allan). Can anyone help with this side of the family? Any information would be most welcome. I have done some further searching but am really asking here to see if anyone has already worked on these families so that we may exchange information and perhaps unravel some mysteries.
