Trying to find White

I am at a real standstill with my White family and would appreciate any help in finding them. The following details were listed on Mary White's Oz marriage certificate in 1857 Mary White born c.1837 Liverpool Lancashire. Parents: Edward White occupation baker and Catherine possible surnames Hartnet(t )/Hardman/Harding They cannot be found in the 1841/1851 census and are not listed in the Liverpool Name Index. I cannot find Edward and Catherine in the 1861 census either. Possibilities: Mary was an orphan and travelled to Oz to start a new life or the family came to Liverpool from Ireland and settled in Liverpool with Mary believing she was born there. I cannot find Edward and Catherine listed on any passenger lists to Australia where they may have joined their daughter I really need help to get over this hurdle so any info will be gratefully received, Regards Frances
