BARBARA SCHUTTE 29/09/2005 I am looking for information on my grandparents, Albert White and Ruth White (nee Marsh) who lived in the Leeds area. Their children were Norman (my father) b. 11/05/1895 at Potter Newton near Leeds and a Gallipoli veteran, and died in Melbourne Australia on 1/11/1987. Harry, no idea of his DOB, who emigrated with his brother Norman about 1923. Muriel, no idea of DOB who had a daughter Jeanne, was divorced and later married Fran Harris, an architect. Muriel, Fran & Jeanne lived for some years in Melbourne before returning to U.K. I think they lived on the Isle of Wight. Gilbert perhaps born around 1909, died about 1930. Gwen, no idea of DOB, married Burgess Hall, daughter Linda born about 1940. Jack, born about 1921, was Leading Signalman on Black Swan Class H.M.S. 'Ibis' torpedoed by Italian Bombers off Algiers 10/11/1942. Chatham Naval Memorial, Kent, U.K. Ref. 58, 3. In September 1932 Albert and Ruth White lived at 18 Cowper St. Leeds. I believe that after Ruth's death Albert may have married a lady named Jeanie. Any information will be appreciated.
