Hello,My name is Raymond Mitchell and I am trying to find out any information about my grandfather Joseph White,he was in the first world war and he was killed at the battle of Fricourt on the Somme on the 1st July 1916 he was in the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry in the 10th Battalion,he was married to a woman called Lily her surname was either Carlton or Colton and I just cann't find out anything about them other than she married again after grandfather was killed,she married a man called Goodison (surname) and thats all I know about him.My grandfather had three children when he went to war the are Nellie Nora (my mother) and Joe,my mother was only 3 when he went to war and so she did not remember anything about him.Any information would be a great help. Thanks. |
