RAYMOND MITCHELL 09/05/2005. Hi anyone,I am trying to find out anythig I can about my grandfather,his name was Joseph White and he was killed in the 1st world war,he was in the Kings Own Yorkshire Light Infantry,and he died in the battle of the Somme in a village called Fricourt and he was killed on the 1st of July 1916.He had 4 children when he went to war and they were Nellie,Nora,Louise and Joseph,he was my mother's father.I am desperate to find out anything I can about him and any family he had he lived in Sheffield England.I would appreciate any information I can find.Thank you. |
