Trying to find relatives of Frank Wallis White (Father name Thomas Mason White b1861 Ticknall, Derbyshire - occupation Brewer, who married Mary Jane Wallis b1867 Bradley, Derbyshire in 1894 at Melbourne Parish Church). Frank (my Maternal Grandfather) was born 1895 in Ashby Road, Melbourne, Derbyshire. He died in Spondon Derbyshire in 1967. Frank had a half sister.... Ida Wallis White who later married a Hollingworth.. they had a daughter Mildred, not sure if any other children . Frank married my gran Bertha Wright, they had an only child Phyllis (my Mother) in 1923. Perhaps the Wallis (or spelt Wallace in some instances) was a double barrelled surname with the White.... I have heard stories that the Wallis was later dropped and used as a middle name. Frank and Bertha moved to Liverpool and he was a (storeman/greengrocer) and dairyman in the 1930's in West Derby, Liverpool. I would be most grateful for any leads - no matter how small. Thank you

John

Hi Nadine,
i think we corresponded last year. A reminder:

I'm a WHITE researching the line from Derbyshire. My earliest where in Baslow 1600s/1700s, then moved to around Grindleford/Padley, Tedgness, Hazleford/Eyam Woodlands, Hathersage. Later they ended up in... West Derby.

Sound familiar? I have a tree on this site and you can visit my site at:

I don't think we're related though. I was even living in Leinster Rd., Old Swan when I was little!

Looking forward to hearing from you,
John White
