They were married at St Peters, Bolton and Turton is only up the road.

I assume you dont have Marriage Cert which would give parents?
Lancs BMD shows the marriage with a reference of 18/12/344 but dont know if it's recognised by GRO.

Thanks for the reply, yes that is the family and yes it is the parents of Mary Ann I am looking for.

I am a bit confused though because her age is 2 years different between 1851 and 1861 census.

Chrissie, i wouldn't be too concerned about a 2 yr. difference between censuses. People just didn't keep track of their ages back in those days. I've seen much bigger differences than that.
