Find Ancestors

Alison Brown I am trying to find any relatives of my father Hubert Malcolm Whittaker. He was born July 8th 1923, his birth was registered in the district of Chorlton Didsbury. He was only child of James Hudson Whittaker and Isabella Horrocks. They died before my father was married in 1949 to Dorothy Helen Bowman. My father went Alexandra Park Infant or Junior school for a time and later Manchester Warehouseman and Clerks School in Cheadle Hulme (also known as Cheadle Hulme School ) When my parents first married they lived in Cheadle Old Road Edgeley, Stockport and then moved to Cheadle Hulme in 1960. My father went to Durham university and studied Theology. He was a lay-reader in the Salford diocese very often at St Thomas' Church, Pendleton with Rev. Victor Mathew Deas. My fater was a teacher who taught at Hyde Technical College amongst other schools but finished his teaching career at Goyt Bank School Offerton, Stockport. I believe he was somehow related to Kathy and George Ridyard who used to keep parrots and monkeys as pets.
