Any information about Whyte Family association with the Easdale Slate Quarries on the Island Of Easdale. John Whyte b 22Apr1800 Lorn Furnace, Bonawe started work there in 1824 as a quarry wright and eventually became manager, a position he held for over 30 years. 1863 left to take up Manager position at Earl of Craiglea's Slate Quarry at Logiealmond, Perthshire. His son Angus b.31May1836 also worked at Easdale Quarry.
