It doesnt look as if he is a relative of mine. I am stuck on the search for my great grandad Samuel Williment born around 1855 and was supposedly married to Sara Sargeant, who also lived in Camberwell. The oldest child was called Vernon or Verney, but dont know if he was the son of Samuel. A big mystery and one I cant solve. |

Yes that is the Sarah, There was also my grandfather Marshall born 1882, who was aboard a ship so didnt appear on the census. I have the birth certificates of the children and Samuel is named as the father on at least 3 of them. But cant find Samuel anywhere. Was he a figment of Sarah's imagination I wonder. What do you think? Is there any way of finding out where Sarah lived in say 1881 when she conceived Marshall? I know i am grasping at straws but it is so annoying not getting anwhere with this. |

The Sarah Williment with the Paynes is unmarried therefore she should be Sergeant and where is Verney as he was born in 1880? Is there anyway that you could find out about this Sarah Williment's family? |

No Samuel was not with Marshall on board his ship. It was a small ship and there is no Samuel. I know nothing about Samuel at all. |

That has given me something to think about. My grandmother who married grandad Marshall was Irish and came from Middleton in Cork. My father and his siblings were also born in Ireland. What was Marshall doing in Ireland, I wonder if Samuel was also there. |
