Hi everyone - We would like to apologise for the site disruption today. The site has been unavailable for around 90 minutes - This was due to a fault with the database that serves both the Genes Reunited and Find My Past Ireland sites and was not planned maintenance despite the error that you were seeing.

We have now moved everything onto a new database and will be looking into a solution to prevent this from happening in the future.

If you do continue to have problems then please try clearing your cache by pressing CTRL and F5 on your keyboard at the same time.

Again apologies for the disruption, we hope it didn't interrupt your family history research!
